Our Statement of Faith
At New Hope Christian Center, we believe in one God, who exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, inerrant in its original autograph, and authoritative for faith and practice.
God’s Nature and Character
- Who is God?: The Creator of heaven and earth, who is eternally self-existent, infinite, and immutable.
- The Trinity: We believe that there is one God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God and fully divine.
- God’s Love and Nature: We believe that God is a loving and merciful God, who desires to have a personal relationship with each person.
The Bible
- What is the Bible?: The inspired Word of God, which contains all that we need to know for salvation and living a godly life.
- Is the Bible Inerrant?: We believe that the Bible is without error in its original autographs, and that it provides a complete and accurate picture of God’s plan for humanity.
Salvation
What is Salvation?: A gift from God to humanity, received through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Plan of Salvation: We believe that salvation is available through faith in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again from the dead to give us new life.
The Gospel: We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is the only way to receive forgiveness for sin and eternal life.
The Church
What is the Church?: The body of Christ on earth, with Jesus as its Head and the Holy Spirit guiding it.
Our Purpose: We are called to be a community of believers who love one another, care for one another, and serve one another in our Lord’s name.
Life After Death
- What is Heaven?: A place of joy, peace, and love, where God dwells with His people forever.
- What is Hell?: A place of eternal separation from God, resulting from rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The Role of the Holy Spirit
How does the Holy Spirit work?: The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a life that honors God and pleases Him. He guides us in our decisions, gives us wisdom, and helps us grow in our faith.
What is the Holy Spirit’s role in salvation?: The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in the process of salvation, convicting us of sin, regenerating us, and empowering us to live a life that honors God.
Prayer
Why pray?: Prayer is an essential part of our relationship with God, and it is through prayer that we are able to connect with Him and receive guidance and strength for our lives.
How do we pray?: We believe in praying in Jesus’ name, using the Holy Spirit to guide us, and seeking His will in all things.
